Most kids celebrate their 13th birthday with cake and balloons, but for Joshua Suddith, the milestone came with an acceptance letter from his dream school — Morehouse College! A standout scholar at Hills Academy in Conyers, Georgia, Joshua’s academic journey has been remarkable from the start.

A true “miracle from the beginning,” Joshua overcame in-utero surgery before birth and has been defying expectations ever since. By 9 months old, he was talking; by 18 months, reading; and at just 3 years old, he wrote his first book. He has skipped multiple grades, earned 27 college credit hours with a 3.88 GPA through dual enrollment at Augusta Technical College, and received more than 20 college acceptance letters — all before turning 13!

Joshua’s passion for HBCUs and his determination to follow in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s footsteps inspired him to surpass Dr. King’s milestone of attending Morehouse at age 15. Now, Joshua plans to study international relations to make a global impact and is already looking ahead to more opportunities, applying to Harvard, MIT, Georgia Tech, Emory, Yale, and Princeton.

Despite his incredible achievements, Joshua is still a regular teen who loves basketball and stays grounded in faith and family. Supported by Morehouse alumni, The Black Man Can Inc., CBCA/Robert Mason, and his proud parents, Joshua’s journey is just beginning — and we can’t wait to see the world-changing mark he’ll make next!
