3rd Annual Placer County Kwanzaa Celebration Sunday, December 15, 2024 Rocklin Parks and R

Join us in pre-observance as we share and reflect about the seven principles of Kwanzaa, "matunda ya kwanza," meaning "first fruits" in Swahili. Students of the local Black Student Union high school clubs will present the principles along with the candle lighting ceremony.

This event is free and all are invited! Bring your favorite potluck dish as we break bread at this community gathering following the ceremony. Kwanzaa is traditionally observed December 26 - January 1 culminating in a festive gathering known as the Karamu Ya Imani (Feast of Faith).
